ABS and TRAC Actuator
TRAC Actuator Components:
REMOVAL
Draining High Pressure Fluid From The TRAC Actuator:
1. Drain out high pressure fluid. Service and Repair
2. Remove Air Cleaner hose.
Loosen the 2 clamp bolts and remove the Air Cleaner hose.
3. Disconnect TRAC solenoid relay.
Disconnect Brake Lines From The TRAC Actuator:
4. Disconnect brake lines
Using Special Service Tool (SST) # 09751-36011, disconnect the 5 brake lines from the TRAC actuator.
Torque: 15 Nm (155 kg.cm, 11 ft. lbs.)
Remove 3 Brake Lines From Clamp:
5. Remove 3 brake lines from clamp.
6. Remove TRAC actuator assembly.
(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors from actuator.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts, nut and TRAC actuator assembly.
Torque: Bolt 12 Nm (125 kg.cm, 9 ft. lbs.)
Nut 19 Nm (195 kg.cm, 14 ft. lbs.)
7. Remove connector clamp.
(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors from clamp.
(b) Remove the bolt and clamp from the actuator.
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kg.cm, 48 inch lbs.)
8. Remove TRAC actuator.
Remove the 3 bolts, TRAC actuator, 3 bushings and 3 spacers from No.1 TRAC actuator bracket.
Torque: 13 Nm (130 kg.cm, 9 ft. lbs.)
9. Remove No.2 TRAC actuator bracket.
Remove the bolt and bracket from the TRAC actuator.
Torque: 14 Nm (145 kg.cm, 10 ft. lbs.)
INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
^ After installation, fill brake reservoir with brake fluid, bleed brake system. Service and Repair
^ Bleed TRAC system. Service and Repair
^ Check for leaks
