Radiator Cooling Fan Motor: Service and Repair

1. Remove engine under cover.
2. Drain engine coolant.
3. Remove air cleaner duct.
4. Disconnect upper radiator hose from radiator.






5. Remove cooling fan assembly as follows:
(a) Disconnect the cooling fan connector.
(b) Disconnect the ECT switch wire from the wire clamp.
(c) Remove the 3 bolts and cooling fan assembly.






6. Remove three retaining screws, then the cooling fan from motor.






7. Disconnect the wire and connector from the fan shroud.
8. Remove the 3 screws, then the fan motor.

INSTALLATION
Installation is the reverse of removal noting the following information:
- Install the fan motor so that its water drainage hole faces downward.
- Tighten fan motor to fan shroud screws to 3.9 Nm (40 kg. cm 35 in.lb).
