Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove air cleaner, Mass Air Flow (MAF) meter and intake air connector pipe assembly.
2. Remove No.2 front exhaust pipe, refer to Exhaust System.
3. Disconnect the 2 heated oxygen sensor connectors.



4. Using a 14 mm deep socket wrench, remove the 4 nuts, exhaust manifold and gasket.
5. Remove the No.1 and No.2 exhaust manifolds.

INSTALLATION
INSTALLATION IS THE REVERSE OF REMOVAL, NOTING THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:
- Use new gaskets.
- Tighten exhaust manifold to head nuts to 39 Nm (400 kg.cm, 29 ft.lb)
- Tighten exhaust manifold to No 2 exhaust pipe to 62 Nm (630 kg.cm, 46 ft.lb)
