Condenser Fan: Testing and Inspection

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. INSPECT COOLING FANS OPERATION
Inspect the cooling fans operation, as shown in the chart below.
Test condition:
^ Ignition switch ON
^ Blower switch HI
If operation is not as specified, proceed next inspection.








2. INSPECT COOLING FAN MOTORS OPERATION
(a) Disconnect the cooling fan connector.
(b) Connect battery and ammeter.
(c) Check that the cooling fan rotates smoothly, and check that the reading on the ammeter.
Specified amperage:
6.7 ± 1.0 A
If operation is not as specified, replace the fan motor. If operation is as specified, inspect each part of the cooling fan system.
