Light Control Rheostat

RHEOSTAT LIGHT CONTROL VOLUME INSPECTION





1. COMBINATION METER ADJUSTMENT INSPECTION
a. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 4.
b. Connect the positive (+) lead from the voltmeter to terminal 2 and negative (-) lead to terminal 3.
c. Turn the rheostat knob and check that the voltage changes





2. ILLUMINATION ADJUSTMENT INSPECTION
a. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and 5 and negative (-) lead to terminal 4.
b. Connect the positive (+) lead from the voltmeter to terminal 5 and negative (-) lead to terminal 7.
c. Turn the rheostat knob and check that the voltage changes.





3. INSPECT TAIL CANCEL
a. Connect the ohmmeter to terminals 5 and 6.
b. Turn the rheostat knob fully clockwise and check that current flow stops.
If switch is not specified. replace the volume.
