DTC 85

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION:
The vehicle speed sensor detects the rotation speed of the transmission output shaft. and sends signals to the ECM. This signal converted inside the meter and sent as a 4 pulses signal to the suspension ECU The ECU calculates the vehicle speed from this pulse frequency. Code 85 is output when vehicle speed is 12 MPH (20 km/h) or higher and a signal is not input. Inspect the ECU, ECM, combination meter assembly, vehicle speed sensor or harness/connectors between the ECU and the vehicle speed sensor.
