Removal and Installation





REMOVAL





1. Remove drive belt.
Loosen the drive belt tension by turning the drive belt tensioner clockwise, and remove the drive belt.
2. Disconnect return hose.
Remove the clip.

NOTICE: Take care not to spill fluid on the A/C compressor rotor.





3. Remove pressure feed tube.
Using a (24 mm) spanner to hold the pressure port union, remove the union bolt and gasket.
4. Remove power steering vane pump assembly. Remove the two bolts.

INSTALLATION
1. Install power steering vane pump assembly. Torque the two bolts.
Torque:
28 mm bolt: 39 Nm (29 ft. lbs.).
45 mm bolt: 58 Nm (43 ft. lbs.)

2. Connect pressure feed tube.
Using a (24 mm) spanner to hold the pressure port union, torque the union bolt with a new gasket.





HINT: Make sure that the stopper of the tube touches the pump housing as shown in the illustration, then torque the union bolt.

Torque: 49 Nm (36 ft. lbs.).
3. Connect return hose.
Install the clip.





4. Install drive belt.
Loosen the drive belt tension by turning the drive belt tensioner clockwise, and install the belt.
