Displaying & Reading Trouble Codes

NOTE: This is the only information provided by the manufacturer for reading diagnostic trouble codes for this system. LEXUS does not provide a procedure for reading diagnostic trouble codes without a scan tool.

PRE-CHECK




1. DTC CHECK (Using LEXUS hand-held tester)
a. Prepare the LEXUS hand-held tester.
b. Connect the LEXUS hand-held to DLC3.
c. Turn the ignition switch ON and the LEXUS hand-held tester main switch ON.
d. Use the LEXUS hand-held tester to check the DTCs, note them down. (For opening instructions, see the LEXUS hand-held tester's instruction book).
e. See Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart, to confirm the details of the DLC3.

2. DTC CLEARANCE
- PRESENT CODE:
DTC will be cleared when the trouble output as DTC is recovered normally.
- PAST CODE:
Clear it using the LEXUS hand-held tester.
