DTC and Freeze Frame Data Erasing Procedure

There are two methods used to erase DTCs and Freeze Frame Data:

2. Using the Lexus Diagnostic Tester with software version 8.0a.

1. Using the diagnosis check-wire.

A. Install the D/C CUT fuse (20A) to the correct position in the Fusible Link Block in the engine compartment. (Refer to TSIB No. PG 006-00.)

B. Using the SST

C. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position and verify that the SPORT mode indicator light blinks DTC 77 for the Electronic Modulated Air Suspension System.

D. Push DISP 1 button on the steering wheel and verify that CRUISE 67 and/or CRUISE 69 are displayed on the multi-information display.

NOTE:
^ At this time, the VSC OK may also be displayed in the multi-information display.

^ Even though the VSC OK is displayed, the Freeze Frame Data may have a fault recorded in memory.

E. Depress and fully release the brake pedal 8 or more times within 5 seconds.

NOTE:
By performing the above steps, DTC 77 and Freeze Frame Data are erased.

F. Confirm that the SPORT mode indicator light is blinking a normal code.

G. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position and remove the EFI No. 1 fuse (30A) and ETCS fuse (10A) from Engine Room No. 1 Relay Block for 10 seconds or more. Then reinstall the two fuses to the correct positions.

NOTE:
By performing the above steps, DTC 67 and 69 are erased.

H. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position to verify that CRUISE OK is displayed in the multi-information display.

I. Remove the SST from DLC 3.

2. Using the Lexus Diagnostic Tester.

A. Install the D/C CUT fuse (20A) to the correct position in the Fusible Link Block in the engine compartment. (Refer to TSIB No. PG006-00.)
