Rear Seat Belt:
REPLACEMENT
HINT:
- The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.
1. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
2. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST PLATE COVER
3. REMOVE WIND DEFLECTOR BOARD ASSEMBLY
4. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST PLATE
5. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
6. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
7. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK BOARD
a. Remove the bolt.
b. Remove the 2 clips and seatback board.
8. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER FRONT
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 caps.
b. Remove the 2 nuts and the tonneau cover.
c. Remove the 12 clips and luggage compartment trim cover.
9. REMOVE REAR SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY OUTER
a. Remove the bolt and floor anchor.
b. Remove the 2 bolts and seat belt.
10. REMOVE REAR SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY INNER
a. Remove the bolt and seat belt.
11. INSTALL REAR SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY OUTER
NOTE: Do not disassemble the retractor.
a. Before installing the ELR, check the ELR.
1. When the inclination of the retractor is 15° or less, check that the belt can be pulled from the retractor. When the inclination of the retractor is over 45°, check that the belt locks.
If operation is not as specified, replace the seat belt assembly.
b. Install the seat belt with the 2 bolts.
Torque:
7.5 N.m (77 kgf.cm, 66 in.lbf) for upper side
42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf) for lower side
c. Install the floor anchor with the bolt.
Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
d. After installing the ELR, check the ELR.
NOTE: The check should be performed with the outer belt installed.
1. With the belt installed, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.
If operation is not as specified, replace the seat belt assembly.
12. INSTALL REAR SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY INNER
a. Install the seat belt with the bolt.
Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
NOTE: Do not overlap the anchor part and protruding part of the floor panel.
