Introduction
Some 2007 - 2008 model year ES 350 vehicles may exhibit an engine idle vibration and drone noise from the engine compartment under the following conditions:
^ Engine idling at operating temperature
^ Gear selector in the "D" or "R" position
The vibration is not noticed when the vehicle is under load above idle. Follow the repair procedure below to address customer concerns.
Applicable Vehicles
^ 2007 - 2008 model year ES 350 vehicles equipped with the 2GR-FE engine and produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VIN shown below.

Repair Procedure
Replace the front active control engine mount.
Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS), 2007 or 2008 model year ES 350 Repair Manual:

^ Engine/Hybrid System - Engine Control - "2GR-FE Engine Control System: Active Control Engine Mount: Installation"

This repair is covered under the Lexus Powertrain Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 72 months or 70,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.
