Removal
SUSPENSION: FRONT STABILIZER BAR (for 2WD): REMOVAL
REMOVAL
1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
2. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER
(a) Remove the 8 bolts and the No. 2 engine under cover.
3. REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the 2 nuts and the front stabilizer link.
HINT: If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a 6 mm hexagon wrench to hold the stud.
4. REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: Remove the RH side following the same procedures as the LH side.
5. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the 2 screws and the engine under cover sub-assembly LH from the front suspension member reinforcement LH.
6. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: Remove the RH side following the same procedures as the LH side.
7. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER REAR LH
(a) Remove the 2 screws and the engine under cover rear LH.
8. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER REAR RH
HINT: Remove the RH side following the same procedures as the LH side.
9. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BRACKET LH
(a) Remove the 2 bolts and the front No. 1 stabilizer bracket LH from the front suspension crossmember.
10. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BRACKET RH
HINT: Remove the RH side following the same procedures as the LH side.
11. REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER BAR
(a) Remove the front stabilizer bar from the vehicle.
12. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BAR BUSH
(a) Remove the 2 front No. 1 stabilizer bar bushes from the front stabilizer bar.
13. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER REINFORCEMENT LH
(a) Remove the 4 bolts and front suspension member reinforcement LH from the vehicle.
14. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER REINFORCEMENT RH
HINT: Remove the RH side following the same procedures as the LH side.
