DESCRIPTION

* The hybrid vehicle control ECU detects a problem in the collision signal line from the airbag sensor assembly and alerts the driver.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (AIRBAG)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / SRS Airbag / Trouble Codes.

(d) Check if DTCs are output.

Result:





(e) Turn the power switch off.

B -- GO TO DTC CHART Airbag System
A -- Continue to next step.

2. CLEAR DTC P0A09

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HV)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

(d) Check if DTCs are output.

Result:





(e) Turn the power switch off.

4. CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS

(a) Check for intermittent problems Check For Intermittent Problems.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE MALFUNCTIONING PARTS, COMPONENT AND AREA

OK -- REPLACE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY

5. CHECK AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (CHECK WAVEFORM) P3107

B -- CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR)

A -- REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU Components

6. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR) P0343

NG -- CONNECT SECURELY
OK -- Continue to next step.

7. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY CONNECTOR) P3107

NG -- CONNECT SECURELY
