Rear Magnetic Valve Circuit

AIR CONDITIONING: AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM: Rear Magnetic Valve Circuit
- Rear Magnetic Valve Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The rear cooler expansion valve (rear magnetic valve) is controlled by the luggage room junction block assembly and the air conditioning amplifier via the CAN communication line.

WIRING DIAGRAM

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

HINT
This circuit uses the CAN communication line. Before performing the inspection, check that the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (REAR A/C MAGNETIC VALVE)

(a) Select the Active Test, using the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the rear magnetic valve operates.

Air Conditioner

OK:

Rear magnetic valve operates normally.

NG -- INSPECT FUSE (RR-IG1-2)

OK -- REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER Removal

2. INSPECT FUSE (RR-IG1-2)

(a) Remove the RR-IG1-2 fuse from the luggage room junction block assembly.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:

NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS - LUGGAGE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)

(a) Disconnect the S90 rear air conditioning harness connector.

(b) Disconnect the S62 luggage room junction block assembly connector.

(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage:

(d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. REPLACE REAR MAGNETIC VALVE

(a) Replace the rear magnetic valve Disassembly.

HINT
Since the rear magnetic valve cannot be inspected while it is removed from the vehicle, replace the rear magnetic valve with a normal one and check that the condition returns to normal.

OK:

Same problem does not occur.

NG -- REPLACE REAR AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS

OK -- END (REAR MAGNETIC VALVE IS DEFECTIVE)

5. REPLACE REAR AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS

(a) Replace the rear air conditioning harness with a normal one and check that the condition returns to normal Disassembly.

OK:

Same problem does not occur.

NG -- REPLACE LUGGAGE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY

OK -- END (REAR AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS IS DEFECTIVE)
