Windshield Washer Pump: Service and Repair

WASHER PUMP AND RESERVOIR







Removal and Installation
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Remove the bolt and position the windshield washer reservoir aside.
3. Disconnect the windshield washer pump electrical connector.

4. WARNING: Windshield washer solution contains methanol, which is poisonous. Observe all cautions and warnings indicated on label of washer solution container. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.

Disconnect the windshield washer fluid level sensor.

5. NOTE: Windshield washer fluid should be collected in a container after the windshield washer hose is disconnected.

Remove the windshield washer reservoir.
- Disconnect the windshield washer hose.

6. Remove the windshield washer pump.

7. CAUTION: Do not make electrical connection prior to filling the windshield washer reservoir. Do not operate the windshield washer pump prior to filling the windshield washer reservoir.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
