RATTLE NOISE FROM FRONT DOOR GLASS

2010 Mazda3 vehicles with VINS lower than JM1 BL******31 1099 (produced before April 1, 2010)

DESCRIPTION





Some vehicles may exhibit a rattle noise from the front door glass when the front door is shut or when driving on rough road with the door glass slightly opened (approx. 8cm). This is caused by the front door glass and inner garnish (A) contacting each other. To ensure clearance, the shape of the inner garnish has now been changed.

Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Verify customer concern.

2. Replace the inner garnish with a modified one. Refer to MS3 online service information or Workshop Manual section 09-12 - INNER GARNISH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.

3. Verify repair.
