DESCRIPTION





On some vehicles, the edge of of the front door glass is sticking out of the beltline molding and the window glass cannot be fully lowered. Excessive clearance between the glass and the glass holder causes the glass to dislocate forward and prevents the window from fully opening.

Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Verify customer concern.

2. Adjust the alignment of the troubled front door glass. Refer to MS3 online instructions or Workshop manual section 09-12 FRONT DOOR GLASS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.





a. To access the glass installation bolt, position the front door glass so that the distance from the top of the front door glass to the upper part of the front beltline is approximately 80 mm.

b. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

c. Remove the inner garnish.

d. Remove the front door trim.

e. Remove the front door speaker.

f. Remove the hole plugs.





g. Loosen the 2 bolts behind the hole plugs.

h. Align the glass along the door sash.

1. Push the front door glass backwards to align the glass along the door sash.

2. While holding the door glass backwards, tighten the two bolts.

3. Install in the reverse order of removal.

4. Verify repair.
