Remove/Install Stationary Heater Antenna
- Retrofitted stationary heater with Telestart T70






Remove/Install
1.1 Remove radio

NOTE: Remove stowage compartment.

1.2 Remove radio and navigation control panel, APS

NOTE: Remove stowage compartment.

1.3 Remove operating/display unit with control module

NOTE: Removal of stowage compartment is discontinued.

2 Remove stowage compartment

NOTE: Leave timer with bracket and wiring harness in stowage compartment, if installed there.

3 Remove footwell paneling on left
4 Remove A-pillar trim at top left

NOTE: Only release so that the antenna line can be guided along it.

5 Detach stationary heater antenna (A2/27) from windshield

NOTE: Installation: Degrease adhesive area with cleaning cloth.

6 Loosen headliner between inside rearview mirror and left A-pillar

NOTE: Installation: Slide antenna line with plastic wedge behind headliner.

7 Remove antenna line (4) as far as Telestart receiver (A6/1)

NOTE: Installation: Wind felt strip around antenna line.

8 Disconnect antenna line (4) from WISI connector (A2/27x1) at Telestart receiver (A6/1)

NOTE: Installation: tie back excess length of antenna line in a ring of at least diameter 50 mm.

9 Install in the reverse order

Checking
10 Switch on heater (A6) with Telestart transmitter (A8/3)

NOTE: If circulation pump and combustion air blower of heater start to run and the fuel metering pump starts to pump, switch off heater.
