Function survey
The extended activity module (EAM) (N10/1) recognizes if the voltage is too low when the rear window defroster is switched on. The following cases are possible:
- If the voltage is too low for longer than 2 seconds the extended activity module (EAM) (N10/1) switches off the rear window defroster relay (F1k1) and indicates this by the flashing rear window defroster indicator lamp (S21e2). The rear window defroster then automatically switches on again if the voltage normalizes within 30 seconds. The rear window defroster indicator lamp (S21e2) then burns continuously.

The counter for the temperature and speed dependent switch-on time continues to run within the 30 second time limit.

- If the voltage is too low for longer than 30 seconds the rear window defroster switches off completely and can only be reactivated by actuating the rear window defroster switch (S21s9) again.
