Ashtray Housing Cannot Be Opened
If you receive customer reports in the above models of the ashtray housing jamming during closing, it may be due to the cigarette lighter not being fully seated. To resolve, it is not necessary to replace the complete ashtray housing, proceed as follows.
1) Using a long wedge, slide wedge under edge of ashtray cover and pry up and out to remove. Support cover to prevent breaking tabs from abrupt release.
Note:
Start from lower left corner (arrow in Figure 1).
2) Push inward on head of cigarette lighter until lighter snaps into proper position.
3) Reinstall front ashtray cover.
4) Verify proper operation.
