Material: Water-based base coat

Application procedure:
Manual application on doors, flaps and crimps
- Metallic paint: ESTA, pneumatic
- Solid color paints: ESTA.







Intermediate evaporation:
Purpose: Decrease percent of water in paint to less than 10%
Temperature approx. 60 degrees C to 80 degrees C
Time in infra-red drier min. 1 min.
Time in recirculated air drier min. 3.5 min
Time in cooling zone min. 1.5 min.

Function:
Color and metallic effect

Material: 2K clear coat

Application procedure:
Manual application on doors, tailgate and crimps
ESTA robots

Coating thicknesses:
Doors and door crimps 35 - 45 micro m
Tailgate 40 - 46 micro m
Horizontal (automatic) 45 - 51 micro m
Vertical (automatic) 40 - 46 micro m

Baking conditions:
The clear coat is baked for 49 min. in a 4-zone drier (182 degrees C, 135 degrees C, 130 degrees C and 127 degrees C). The surface temperature is between 120 degrees C and 145 degrees C for 40 min.

Function:
- Increases gloss and metallic effect
- Protects paint surface from effects of weathering (sun, rain and acidic rain)
- Protects paint against stone impact.
