Humming / Droning from the Area of the Drive Train or Transfer Case





If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicle of humming and droning from the area of the drive train or transfer case at engine speeds of 3100 - 3800 rpm, this may be caused by the frequency of the transfer case vibration damper being outside the tolerance specification. To resolve, replace the transfer case vibration damper. Ensure correct installation position (Figure 1) and that tightening torque is 20 Nm.
