GF88.79-P-2000GH Heat Left/Right Exterior Rearview Mirrors Function
GF88.79-P-2000GH Heat Left/Right Exterior Rearview Mirrors Function
Function requirements
- Circuit 15 "On"
- No overvoltage or undervoltage
Function up to 31.8.01
The mirror heater consists of a heater resistor, connected in series to a bimetal switch. The heater resistor is located in the rear of the mirror housing and is firmly connected to it.
The temperature is regulated by switching the bimetal switch on and off.
If the temperature at the mirror lens drops below 15 degrees C, the heating resistor is switched on by means of the bimetal switch, the mirror lens heats up.
If the temperature at the mirror lens rises above 25 degrees C, the bimetal switch switches the heating resistor off.
Function as of 01.09.01
The mirror heater (M21/1r1) in the
- left electrically adjustable and heated exterior mirror (M21/1)
and the mirror heater (M21/2r1) in the
- right electrically adjustable and heated exterior mirror (M21/2)
consists each of a heating resistor. This is mounted on a foil on the rear of the mirror lens.
The temperature-controlled mirror heater is actuated by the all- activity module (AAM) (N10) together with the temperature sensor of the outside temperature display (B14) , which is read in by the AAC pushbutton control module (N22).
The all-activity module (AAM) (N10) is linked over the engine compartment CAN to the AAC pushbutton control module (N22).
Temperature switching points of mirror heater:
- Switch-on temperature t<15 degrees C
- Switch-off temperature t>25 degrees C
