Function requirements
- No overvoltage/undervoltage
- Circuit 15 ON
- No blocking detected
- Both potentiometers of adjustment motor supply plausible values

Function, example (LHS):
The memory function makes it possible to store three positions of the left electrically adjustable and heated exterior mirror (M21/1) and of the right electrically adjustable and heated exterior mirror (M21/2).
The exterior mirrors are adjusted manually by means of the adjustment switches in the lower control panel control module (N72).

For the storing function the following switches are available in the left front seat adjustment switch group with memory (S91):
- Memory position 1 switch (S91s6)
- Memory position 2 switch (S91s7)
- Memory position 3 switch (S91s8) and also memory switch (S91s9).

There are 2 possibilities for storing the positions
1. Press and hold memory switch (S91s9) for t ≥ 200 ms and additionally press one of the switches memory position 1 (S91s6);memory position 2 (S91s7), memory position 3 (S91s8) for t ≥ 100 ms

2. Press the memory switch (S91s9) for t ≥ 100 ms and release again. After this, press one of the switches memory position 1 (S91s6); memory position 2 (S91s7); memory position 3 (S91s8) within t ≤ 3s, for t ≥ 100 ms memory after releasing the switch (S91s9).

The positions of the left exterior mirror and of the right exterior mirror are stored in the
- left front seat adjustment control module with memory (N32/1) and by the Flexible Service System WS/FSS.
Position 1l, position 2 and position 3 are requested by means of the
- left front seat adjustment control module with memory (N32/1)

which is linked over a separate cable to the lower control panel control module (N72).

When a memory position is received, the manual mirror lens adjustment is ignored until storage is completed.

Disconnecting the battery does not result in a loss of the memory settings.

It is possible to retrieve and store up to 3 seat positions using the memory function.
