ESN Number is Missing on Head Unit Display

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles with Factory Installed Satellite Radio using the new MP3 compatible COMAND head unit (A203 870 11 89) in combination with the new GEN2 satellite radio receiver (A169 827 01 62) that the ESN number may be not viewable from the "Service" submenu under SAT, do not replace parts.

The ESN can be obtained by using Star Diagnosis to read the ESN number by following path: F2 --> F2 --> Cars --> "vehicle model" --> Control Units --> Information and Communication --> Audio, Video, Navigation and Telematics --> SDAR --> Control Unit Version. Activation of the SIRIUS account should proceed normally with the ESN number.
