Phone Menu Messages in Instrument Cluster Display

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of the message "No Phone" or "Phone off" appearing in the phone menu in the instrument cluster display when no integrated telephone is equipped, this is normal operation. If the vehicle does not currently have the TELE-AID feature, the version coding iPod: Operation via multifunction steering wheel" must be coded to read possible" during the iPod installation (refer to STAR TekInfo document T-I-82.60/438 dated March 29, 2005). This enables the "Send" and "End" buttons on the multifunction steering wheel along with the phone menu on the instrument cluster display. The buttons are used for iPod control while in the AUDIO menu in the instrument cluster display. This is normal functionality of the instrument cluster. Do not repair or replace any parts.
