Interior - Various Noises From The Front Seats

Model 251.165/175 Front Seat Noise Complaints
If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles regarding noise from the front seats when the load on the backrest frame changes, proceed as described below to resolve.
A. Noise When Load on Backrest Frame Changes
1. Remove backrest cover. Refer to WIS document AR91.10-P-1090GZ (164) and AR91.10-P-1090RT (251).
2. Remove sidebag unit. Refer to WIS document AR91.60-P-0695GZ (164) and AR91.60-P-0695RT (251).
3. Disconnect padding support grid from the 4 suspension points (Figure 1), 2 on the right side and 2 on the left side.
4. Cut 4 pieces of felt. Apply a generous amount of special sliding compound to the felt and then adhere the felt to the suspension points of the padding support grid (Figure 2).
5. Reconnect the padding support grid to the 4 suspension points (2 on the right and 2 on the left).
6. Reinstall sidebag unit. Refer to WIS document AR91.60-P-0695GZ (164) and AR91.60-P-0695RT (251).
7. Reinstall backrest cover. Refer to WIS document AR91.10-P-1090GZ (164) and AR91.10-P-1090RT (251).
