No Audio from ipod in Vehicles Equipped with Integrated ipod and Factory Installed

Rear Seat Entertainment System

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles equipped with factory installed Rear Seat Entertainment System (RSES) and iPod Integration System of no audio detected from the iPod when connected to its auxiliary connector in the glove compartment, please verify that the vehicle is equipped with the special iPod Audio harness, part number B6 782 4228 and latest iPod interface module, part number B6 782 4232. To verify and retrofit the required parts, reference WIS document AZ82.60-P-0014GZ (164) or AZ82.60-P-0014R1 (251).

Notes on Correct iPod Operation in Vehicles Equipped with Factory Installed RSE System:

If the RSE system's audio is being played through the vehicle's speaker system and the user connects an iPod, the audio from the iPod automatically switches to the vehicle's speakers in place of the RSE system's audio. Since the RSE's audio signal is also routed to dual LCD screen displays, users can still listen to audio from the Rear Seat Entertainment by employing the provided wired headphones connected to the jacks on the screen units.
