GF54.50-P-2009RT Average Speed, Function
- up to model year 08

Average speed "since start" (short-distance memory), function
Average speed since start

Average speed "since reset" (long-distance memory), function
Average speed since last reset

The "since start" or " since reset " for the average speed can be activated via the system selection button (S110s3) and scroll forward/back button (S110s1) of the multifunction steering wheel.

The following information is required:
^ trip time: This is calculated internally in the instrument cluster (A1).
^ Mileage: This is determined from the four wheel speeds. The wheel speeds reach the instrument cluster in the form of an engine compartment CAN message from the ESP control unit (N47-5).

If different values are displayed in the "since start" display screen (short-distance memory) and in the "since reset" display screen (long-distance memory), this is normal as both displays access different data records. The "since start" (short-distance memory) basically reacts more sensitively to the current driving situation, than the "since reset" display (long-distance memory).
