General standing lights/parking lights actuation function sequence

The standing/parking lights actuation is comprised of several subfunctions. These are:
^ Standing lamp actuation
^ Parking lamp actuation

Standing lamp actuation

Function requirements:
^ Rotary light switch in position "Standing lamps"

Standing lamp actuation function sequence
The position of the rotary light switch is read in over LIN by the upper control panel control unit, placed on CAN-B, and received by the front SAM control unit.

The front SAM control unit forwards the switch-on request via CAN-B to the rear SAM control unit.

Depending on the equipment fitted, the front SAM control unit actuates the following components:
^ Standing and parking lamp
^ Front side-marker lamp

Depending on the equipment fitted, the rear SAM control unit actuates the following components:
^ Brake lights, taillights, parking lights and side-marker lamp (pulsed at P = 5 W)
^ License plate lamp, rear-end door
^ Taillights for trailer

For the function feedback, the upper control panel control unit actuates the standing lights indicator lamp (S1e3) in the rotary light switch via LIN.

Lights on warning
If the standing lights are switched on by means of the position of the rotary light switch, with the transmitter key removed (A8/1) and the driver door open, an acoustic light warning is triggered via the warning buzzer (A1h1) in the instrument cluster (A1)

Parking lamp actuation

Function requirements
^ C. 15 OFF
^ Rotary light switch set to right or left "parking lights"

Parking lights actuation function sequence
The position of the rotary light switch is read in over LIN by the upper control panel control unit, placed on CAN-B, and received by the front SAM control unit.

The front SAM control unit forwards the switch-on request via CAN-B to the rear SAM control unit.

Depending on the equipment fitted, the front SAM control unit actuates the following components:
^ Standing and parking lamp

Depending on the equipment fitted, the rear SAM control unit actuates the following components:
^ Brake lights, taillights, parking lights and side-marker lamp (pulsed at P = 5 W)
^ License plate lamp, rear-end door
^ Taillights for trailer
