GF40.15-P-0001-02RT Tire Pressure Monitor (RDK) Activation

GF40.15-P-0001-02RT Tire pressure monitor (RDK) activation
- with CODE (475) Tire pressure monitor (Siemens)
- up to model year 08

Component Identification:

The system is permanently operational and is not operated actively by the driver. Every time the CAN-B wakes up the TPM [RDK] control unit (N88) is reactivated and it starts to send messages to the instrument cluster (A1). In the event of any changes to air pressure by the driver, or if wheels are changed around or a tire replaced the determination of new tire inflation pressures is performed automatically in the TPM [RDK] control unit when it detects the inflation process. The following procedure must be followed for activation:
^ Correct the air pressure in each wheel;
^ Switch on the ignition (circuit 15 "ON").

^ Use the scroll forward/back button to select the tire pressure monitoring system.

Display of tire pressure monitor TPM [RDK], pressure image display. The system can be reactivated manually.

^ Press trip odometer reset button (A1s3). The previous display changes to the selection screen with preselection "No".

^ Press the "+" button on the buttons + and - for setting specific functions and volume control on the multifunction steering wheel. The selection screen appears for approx. 2 s with selection "Yes" and then changes immediately to the confirmation screen.

All other buttons cause the activation sequence to be aborted.

^ Following an engine start the adjacent system message is shown on the multifunction display (A1p13).

If activation is carried out when the engine is running, this message appears with a time delay of approx. 30 seconds.

^ After approx. 10 min journey time the current tire pressures are displayed. The activation procedure is over.
