Rattling Noise From Door When Closing





If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles that the lock rod rattles when the door is closed, this may be caused when the door is locked and unlocked several times, the boot can work its way down the push rod and cause the rattle (Figure 1 and 2). To resolve, perform the procedure on the affected doors:

1. Remove door lining from front door. Refer to WIS document AR72.10-P-1000GZ (164) or AR72.10-P-1000RT (251)

2. Remove door lining from rear door. Refer to WIS document AR72.12-P-1010GZ (164) or AR72.12-P-1010RT (251)

3. Install new boot, part no. A169 723 00 94 (Figure 3 above).

4. Reassemble in reverse order.

Note:
If this condition arises, do not replace the door lock!
