Procedure
ProcedureA. Inspect coolant hose.
1. Inspect coolant hose (A, Figure 1) at fan shroud for damage (chafe marks where it comes into proximity with fan shroud bracket [B, Figure 2]).
^ If coolant hose is not damaged proceed to step 2.
^ If coolant hose is damaged proceed to Subject B.
2. Unclip coolant hose (A, Figure 2) from bracket (B) on fan shroud then install cable tie (arrow).
Note:
Ensure cable tie is correctly installed into clip (Figure 3).
3. Secure coolant hose (A, Figure 4) to bracket (B) at fan shroud and fasten with cable tie (arrow).
Note:
Do not over tighten cable tie (arrow, Figure 4) or the coolant hose (A) may become deformed.
B. Replace coolant hose and secure
1. Drain coolant; refer to WIS: AR20.00-P-1142GZB.
2. Remove engine cover:
^ Loosen cowl cover (A, Figure 5): remove 4 bolts (arrows) then partially remove weather strip (B) from cowl cover (A).
^ Lift cowl cover (A) then remove engine cover.
3. Remove air intake duct (arrow, Figure 6).
4. Remove charge air hose (A, Figure 6), refer to WIS: AR09.41-P-8621GZB8621GZB
5. Loosen hose clamps (arrows, Figures 7, 8) then remove hose assembly (A, Figure 7).
6. Install new hose assembly (A, Figure 7) in reverse order
Note:
Use new hose clamps (arrows, Figure 7) on lower hose ends.
^ Reuse "clip" clamp (arrow, Figure 8) to secure upper hose to engine fitting.
7. Install cable tie (arrow, Figure 9) to bracket (A).
Note:
Ensure cable tie is correctly installed into clip (Figure 10).
8. Secure coolant hose (A, Figure 11) to bracket (B) on fan shroud and fasten with cable tie (arrow).
Note:
Do not over tighten cable tie (arrow) or the coolant hose (A) may become deformed.
9. Refill cooling system with new coolant then bleed system, refer to WIS: AR20.00-P-1142GZB.
10. Reassemble remaining components in reverse order.
