Operating instructions
The left multifunction steering wheel button group (S110) and right multifunction steering wheel button group (S111) can be used to display various menu items in the multifunction display (A1p13) in the instrument cluster (A1):
- It is possible to scroll between the respective menus and submenus (S110s1) or in various lists via the scroll forward and back button.
- The system selection button (S110s3) can be used to change from each menu and submenu into the next higher menu level.
- The + and - adjustment of specific functions and volume control (S111s1) button can be used to confirm each selection or pending messages.
All the buttons of the multifunction steering wheel button group are always fitted. The activation of the corresponding functions however depends on the equipment fitted.

Basic menu
The following information can be called up in the basic menu:
- Trip and main odometer
- Check engine oil level
- Service indicator
- Current vehicle speed
- Coolant temperature
- Tire pressure monitor (with code (470) Tire pressure monitor (basis) or with code (475) Tire pressure monitor (premium))
Audio menu
The following information can be displayed in the Audio menu:
- Current radio frequency adjusted
- Selected music track or CD track
Navigation menu
The Navigation menu can be used to activate or deactivate the navigation function. Navigation information is displayed when the system is active. "NAV OFF" is shown when the system is deactivated.
Off-road menu
The Off-road menu displays the compass data. Depending on the vehicle equipment with code (430) Off-road package displays the current condition of the differential lock and rear axle differential lock and with code (489) AIRmatic (air suspension with level adjustment and adaptive damping system ADS) the AIRmatic status is shown.
Distronic menu
When the Distronic function is activated, the Distronic menu displays a tracking graphic in which one's own vehicle is always shown on the right edge of the multifunction display.
System state and fault messages menu
The System state and fault messages menu shows the number of fault messages stored in the memory.
Individual messages can then be displayed using the scroll forwards and back button.
Settings menu
In the Settings menu the following submenus are displayed in which various adjustments can be performed
- "Vehicle" (e.g. automatic door locking)
- "Illumination" (e.g. interior lights OFF delay time)
- "Instrument cluster" (e.g. language)
- "Comfort" (e.g. access aid)
- "Heater" (e.g. cut-in time)
- "Proximity warning device" (with code (219) DISTRONIC)
TRIP menu
The following trip computer data are shown in the TRIP menu:
- After start (e.g. travel distance, journey time)
- Range
- After reset (e.g. travel distance, average fuel consumption)
Telephone menu
The Telephone menu can be used to call up the following information:
- Status
- Messages
Workshop level menu
The Workshop level menu is not a separate menu item and can be called up as follows:
- Instrument cluster display in basic menu
- Press trip odometer reset button (A1s3) three times within t = 1.5 s
