Location
The rear heater water valve is located in the heating water feed line in the rear heater/air conditioner air recirculation unit.

Task
The rear heater water valve controls the flow of coolant to the rear heater heat exchanger according to the position of the rear temperature selection switch (S98s15) integrated in the AAC [KLA] control and operating unit.

Design
The rear heater water valve consists of the housing, the rear heater water valve motor (A32/1m2), the flap and the rear heater water valve potentiometer (A32/1r1).

Function
The AAC [KLA] control and operating unit controls the rear heater water valve motor integrated in the rear heater water valve according to the position of the rear temperature selection switch integrated in the AAC [KLA] control and operating unit. The rear heater water valve motor moves the flap and enlarges or reduces the diameter of the heating water feed, i.e. the quantity flowing to the rear heater heat exchanger is increased or reduced. The AAC [KLA] control and operating unit receives feedback on the position of the flap through the rear heater water valve potentiometer integrated in the rear heater water valve, enabling it to regulate the flap.
