GF54.65-P-5001GM PARKTRONIC Control Unit Component Description
- with CODE (220) PARKTRONIC

Component Identification:

Location
The PTS control unit is located below the driver seat.

Task
The PTS control unit has the following tasks:
^ Reading in of sensors and signals
^ Evaluation of input factors
^ Actuation of components

Reading in of sensors and signals
The input factors are read in with the following connections:
^ Direct line
^ Interior CAN

Direct line
The following signals and sensors are read via a direct line:
- Circuit 30
- Tml. 31
- Outer left front PTS ultrasonic sensor (B8/1)
- Center left front PTS ultrasonic sensor (B8/2)
- Inner left front PTS ultrasonic sensor (B8/3)
- Inner right front PTS ultrasonic sensor (B8/4)
- Center right front PTS ultrasonic sensor (B8/5)
- Outer right front PTS ultrasonic sensor (B8/6)
- Outer right rear PTS ultrasonic sensor (B8/7)
- Inner right rear PTS ultrasonic sensor (B8/8)
- Inner left rear PTS ultrasonic sensor (B8/9)
- Outer left rear PTS ultrasonic sensor (B8/10)

Interior CAN
The following signals are read in with interior CAN by the: by the instrument cluster (A1):
- Vehicle speed
- Status of PARKTRONIC (model 164 with code (430) Offroad package)

From the front SAM control unit (N10):
- Status of foot-operated parking brake

By the overhead control panel control unit (N70):
- Signal "Day" or "Night"

From the upper control panel control unit (N72/1):
- PTS OFF switch (N72/1s8) (model 164 without code (430) Offroad package, model 251) by the EZS control unit (N73)

- Status of circuit 15R

by the central gateway control unit (N93):
- Wheel speeds and wheel rotation direction
- Status of reverse gear
- Drive position

From the rear SAM control unit (N10/8)
- Trailer recognition (with code (550) Trailer hitch)

Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the affected components are then actuated.

Actuation of components
Components are actuated with the following lines:
^ Direct line
^ Interior CAN

Direct line
The following components are actuated via a direct line:
- PTS warning indicator, driver side dashboard (A44/1)
- Rear dome lamp PTS warning indicator (A44/3)
- PTS ultrasonic sensors

Interior CAN
The following signal is transmitted via interior CAN:
To upper control panel control unit:
- Status of PARKTRONIC for actuating the light-emitting diode integrated in the PTS OFF switch (model 164 without code (430) Offroad package, model 251) to the instrument cluster:
- Status of PARKTRONIC (model 164 with code (430) Offroad package)
- Warning issue
