Location
The rear heavy duty automatic air conditioning air recirculation unit is located in the roof of the passenger or load compartment level with the C-pillar. It is also inserted into the roof air duct.

Task
The rear heavy duty automatic air conditioning recirculation unit distributes the recirculated air required to ventilate the vehicle's passenger or load compartment to the roof air duct and the swiveling, lockable air vents. This is conducted to match the specified temperature set by the AAC [KLA] control and operating unit's (S98) integrated rear temperature selection switch (S98s15).

Design
The rear heavy duty automatic air conditioning recirculation unit consists of the following parts:
- 2 cover panels and one damping mat
- Implement carrier
- Inner housing part
- Roof air conditioning evaporator
- Roof air conditioning desiccant cartridge with roof refrigerant pressure sensor
- Roof air conditioning condenser with roof air conditioner 1 additional fan and roof air conditioner 2 additional fan as well as the roof additional fan relay
- Roof air conditioning expansion valve
- Roof air conditioning evaporator with evaporator temperature sensor
- Blower regulator
- Blower motor with integrated thermal protection switch
- Blend air flap actuator motor with integrated blend air flap potentiometer
