Heater operation is switched on directly at the heater timer of the auxiliary heater heating unit or by means of a preselection. The glow pin (N33/6r1) is activated. The blower motor (N33/6m1) of the auxiliary heater combustion air blower and the metering pump (Y23/4) start at a low rotational speed. If the temperature of the heat exchanger is higher than the selected interior temperature, then only the blower motor of the auxiliary heater combustion air blower (cold blow phase) runs initially. When the residual heat has dissipated, the starting procedure commences.
After approximately t = 60 s, the metering pump starts up and delivers the fuel into the burner tube via the burner insert. The blower motor of the auxiliary heater combustion air blower delivers fresh air to the burner tube. A fuel-air mixture is formed in the burner tube which ignites on the glow pin.
The blower motor of the auxiliary heater combustion air blower and the metering pump are gradually run up to the set heat output once combustion has been detected. Once a flame has been detected by the flame sensor (N33/6b2) and combustion has been stabilized, the glow pin is deactivated after t = 80 s.

The fuel-air mixture then ignites independently on the hot walls of the burner. If no proper combustion occurs within t = 90 s, the above-mentioned startup procedure is repeated. If the auxiliary heater heating unit still fails to ignite after a further t = 90 s, a fault shutoff occurs. The metering pump is no longer actuated and the blower motor of the auxiliary heater combustion air blower runs on for t = 4 min. After an impermissible number of unsuccessful start attempts, the warm air auxiliary heater control unit (N33/6) is locked, i.e. it is no longer possible to switch on the auxiliary heater heating unit. If the flame goes out during operation, a new start is performed.
The fault shutoff also occurs if the flame goes out again within t = 15 min. The metering pump is no longer actuated and the blower motor of the auxiliary heater combustion air blower runs on for t = 4 min.
By briefly deactivating and activating (maximum 2 times) the auxiliary heater heating unit, the fault shutoff can be canceled.
If combustion is stable, the auxiliary heater heating unit operates at maximum heat output until the selected operating temperature is reached.

In the event of a defective glow pin, defective blower motor of the auxiliary heater combustion air blower or open circuited electrical line on the metering pump, the auxiliary heater heating unit is not switched on.

Manual operation without timer

Activating the auxiliary heater heating unit
The ON/OFF button for the auxiliary heater must be pressed.
Activation in continuous operation is indicated in the display field of the heater timer with the display of "Stationary heater operation".

Setting the heat output
Turning the heat output control knob to the left increases the temperature. The temperature is decreased by turning the heat output control knob to the right.

Setting the heating time
The auxiliary heater heating unit must be deactivated as a function requirement. After pressing and holding the "Decrease" button for t = 3 s until the "Time, switch-on time and outside temperature" multiple display flashes, the heating time can be decreased by releasing the button and then pressing the "Decrease" button again; or the time can be increased by pressing the "Increase" button.

The heating time has been saved when the "Time, switch-on time and outside temperature" multiple display goes off.

Program timer

Set switch-on time
By pressing the "Switch-on time, weekday and timer" button several times, choose one of the numbers in the "Activated switch-on times" display in the display field of the heater timer.

The switch-on time is indicated by flashing. The switch-on time can be set by pressing the "Increase" or "Decrease" button. Then the required day of the week can be set by pressing the "Increase" button or "Decrease" button when the "Weekday" display flashes.

A maximum of 3 switch-on times can be set on the heater timer.
