Location
The rear heater/air conditioner air recirculation unit is located on the left side at the vehicle underfloor at the height of the C-pillar next to the fuel tank.

Task
The rear heater/air conditioner air recirculation unit takes in the recirculated air required for ventilating the passenger or load compartment of the vehicle through the intake air duct. At the same time, the rear heater/air conditioner air recirculation unit ensures that the recirculated air required for ventilating the passenger or load compartment of the vehicle is distributed to the outlet air duct and the outlet opening in the bottom front left side panel behind the driver seat according to the specified temperature set using the rear temperature selection switch (S98s15) integrated in the AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (S98).

The rear heater/air conditioner air recirculation unit consists of the following parts:

- 2 inner housing parts
- Intake air duct
- Outlet air duct
- Rear heating system heat exchanger
- Rear heater blower regulator (A32/1a1)
- Rear heater blower motor (A32/1m1) with integrated thermal protection switch
- Rear heater water valve (A32/1y1) with integrated rear heater water valve motor (A32/1m2) and rear heater water valve potentiometer (A32/1r1)
