GF83.10-D-4160HH Rear Blower Motor, Component Description

- with CODE (HH7) Additional air conditioning in rear

A32/2 Rear automatic air conditioning recirculation unit
A32/2m1 Blower motor

Location
The blower motor is located in the rear automatic air conditioning recirculation unit.

Task
The blower motor increases or reduces the rate of circulation of the recirculated air in the vehicle depending on how it is actuated by the AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (S98).

Design
The blower motor consists of a housing, the permanent magnets which are located on the housing wall, a solenoid armature with winding, a thermal protection switch, the motor axle and the blower wheels which are located on the motor axle.

Function
The blower regulator (A32/2a1) limits the voltage applied at the blower motor to a certain value according to the setting by means of the rear blower control button (+) (S98s2) and the rear blower control button (-) ( S98s3), which are integrated in the AAC [KLA] control and operating unit.
The flow of current in the winding generates a weak or powerful magnetic field depending on the amperage. This magnetic field in turn induces the solenoid armature with winding to rotate in the magnetic field of the permanent magnet and the motor axle turns slower or faster. The thermal protection switch protects the blower motor against a thermal overload.
