GF83.50-D-3002H Rear Air Conditioning Evaporator, Component Description

GF83.50-D-3002H Rear Air Conditioning Evaporator, Component Description

- with CODE (HH7) Additional air conditioning in rear

37 Rear evaporator
A32/2 Rear automatic air conditioning recirculation unit

Location
The rear evaporator is located in the rear automatic air conditioning recirculation unit.

Task
The refrigerant in the rear evaporator removes heat from the ambient air, thus cooling down the rear evaporator and the recirculated air.
The refrigerant becomes gaseous as it absorbs heat in the rear evaporator.

Function
The refrigerant, which is liquid and under high pressure, is routed partly in liquid form and partly in gaseous form into the rear evaporator as of the rear expansion valve integrated into the refrigerant shutoff valve (A32/2y1) depending on the low pressure (gaseous) and the temperature at the rear evaporator outlet. The liquid refrigerant evaporates in the rear evaporator.
This evaporation process causes heat and humidity to be removed from the recirculated air that is flowing past the pipe and honeycomb system of the rear evaporator, which cools the air down and dries it.
The air humidity carried along is converted to condensed water, which is routed to the outside.
