N34 Heater timer
The warm air auxiliary heater control unit (N33/6) continually receives temperature values for the interior air during heater operation via the interior temperature sensor (S98b1) with code (HH9) Regulated air conditioning (Tempmatic), via the rear interior air temperature sensor ventilation blower (M9/1) with code (HH7) Additional air conditioning in rear or with code (H08) High- performance air conditioning, or via an external temperature sensor, and compares the measured value with the specified value set on the heater timer. The warm air auxiliary heater control unit readjusts the metering pump (Y23/4) and the blower motor (N33/6m1) of the auxiliary heater combustion air blower according to the temperature difference. The following 5 control levels are used:
- "Power"
- "High"
- "Medium"
- "Low"
- "OFF"
If the temperature setting is going to be exceeded even at the "Low" control level, the auxiliary heater heating unit is switched to the "OFF" control level. The blower motor of the auxiliary heater combustion air blower is activated for t = 4 min to cool down the auxiliary heater heating unit (controlled run-on time).
The blower motor of the auxiliary heater combustion air blower then continues to run at the minimum rotational speed until reactivation or is deactivated (standby mode). If the interior temperature drops below the specified value, another starting procedure takes place.
Display remaining time
If the "Decrease" button is pressed briefly, the remaining time is indicated in the display field of the heater timer.
Decrease remaining time
If the "Decrease" button is pressed for longer than t = 1 s, the remaining time is shortened. The shortened remaining time is displayed in the display field of the heater timer.
