GF82.30-D-3001H Intermittent Wiping For Rear Window, Function

GF82.30-D-3001H Intermittent Wiping For Rear Window, Function

- with CODE (W78) Window tailgate/hinged rear door with wipe/wash system

The following function requirements must be met:
- Circuit 15R ON
- Rear wiper switch (S144s5) in "intermittent wipe" position

The signals of the rear wiper switch are read in by the MRM control unit (N80) and forwarded over the Controller Area Network bus Class B (interior) (CAN-B) to the SAM control unit (N10).
The SAM control unit reads in the signals of the following components:
- Rear wiper switch
- Rain/light sensor (B38/2), with code (JA5) Light/rain sensor, over the CAN-B from the DBE control unit (N70)
- Left rear-end door switch (S166/3)
- Right rear-end door switch (S166/4)
- Backup lamp switch (S16/2)

The SAM control unit actuates the following components:
- Left rear-end door wiper motor (M6/10)
- Right rear-end door wiper motor (M6/11)

A wiping cycle is performed immediately upon activating the "rear window intermittent wipe" function. When the windshield WSA is activated and except code (JA5) Light/rain sensor, the interval for the left and right rear-end door wiper motors is synchronous to the windshield wiper motor (M6/1) interval. If the windshield WSA is deactivated and with code (JA5) Light/rain sensor, the interval is set to t = 6 s.
At v < 80 km/h (parameterizable in increments of 10), the rear wipers are actuated at a ratio of 1 : 10 to the front wipers. At v > 80 km/h, the rear wipers are actuated at a ratio of 1 : 7 to the front wipers.

Following deactivation by turning the rear wiper switch, the rear wipers move to the park position. With "circuit 15R OFF", the rear wipers remain in their current position. If status "circuit 15R ON" is activated again, the rear wipers are moved back to their park positions (completion of wiping).

Reverse wiping
The backup wipe function is automatically switched on when the reverse gear is engaged (backup lamp switch signal) and the windshield WSA is active
The following 2 function steps are started successively:
- Activation of wash function
The rear end washer fluid pump is actuated for t = 300 ms and the left and right rear-end door wiper motors are actuated for 3 cycles.

If the rear wipe function is already active, the wash pulse is omitted.
- Activation of wipe function
If the windshield WSA is in intermittent operation, the rear window WSA runs synchronously (ratio 1 : 1).
If the windshield WSA is in continuous operation, the rear window WSA is activated on each 5th windshield WSA wipe cycle (ratio 1 : 5).

The "rear window wash" function has priority over the "backup wipe" function. This in turn has priority over the "rear window intermittent wipe" function.

Function with open rear door
If the rear door is opened at v = 0 km/h and the rear window WSA is active (signal over left and right rear-end door switches), then the left and right rear-end door wiper motors are deactivated.
If the rear-end door is closed or at v > 0 km/h and with an open rear-end door, then the left and right rear-end door wiper motors are activated again.
