GF40.15-P-0001-08GM Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM (RDK)) Messages

GF40.15-P-0001-08GM Tire pressure monitor (TPM [RDK]) messages
- with CODE (470) Tire pressure monitor (base)
- with CODE (475) Tire pressure monitor (premium)

The messages from the tire pressure monitor (TPM) system are displayed in the multifunction display (A1p13) of the instrument cluster (A1).

A distinction is made between the following:
- Menu displays and
- Warning messages

The menu displays can be called up in the instrument cluster using the TPM [RDK] menu.

The warning messages appear automatically.

Depending on the warning message the tire pressure monitor warning lamp (A1e66) is also actuated.

Menu display 1
The TPM [RDK] system is not available until circuit 15 ON.

Menu display 2
Normal status of TPM [RDK] system

Menu display 3
The TPM [RDK] system is nonfunctional. Possible causes:
- The instrument cluster does not receive any valid CAN signals from the TPM [RDK] control unit (N88)
- TPM [RDK] control unit nonfunctional:
- Shutoff because of malfunction
- Failure of left front TPM wheel sensor (A69/1), right front TPM wheel sensor (A69/2), left rear TPM wheel sensor (A69/3) or right rear TPM wheel sensor (A69/4)
- System shutoff due to fault (diagnosis fault entry)
- Temporary fault due to over voltage/under voltage

Menu display 4
The TPM system does not receive any signals from the TPM wheel sensors.

Possible cause:
- Wheels fitted without TPM wheel sensor

Warning message 1
The TPM [RDK] system is nonfunctional. Possible causes:
- The instrument cluster does not receive any valid signals from the TPM [RDK] control unit
- TPM [RDK] control unit nonfunctional:
- Shutoff because of malfunction

The tire pressure monitor warning lamp flashes on and off for t = 60 s and then stays on permanently.

Warning message 2
The TPM [RDK] system has detected a significant pressure loss (- 20 %) at one or more tires.

The tire pressure monitor warning lamp is permanently actuated and then an acoustic notification is emitted.

Warning message 3
Rapid pressure loss (greater than 0.2 bar/min) detected at one or more tires.

The tire pressure monitor warning lamp is permanently actuated and then an acoustic notification is emitted.

Warning message 4
The TPM [RDK] control unit does not receive any signals from the TPM wheel sensors.

Possible cause:
- Wheels fitted without TPM [RDK] wheel sensors

The tire pressure monitor warning lamp flashes on and off for t = 60 s and then stays on permanently.

Warning message 5
The TPM [RDK] system is temporarily inactive because of transmission interference or because the voltage is too high/low.

The tire pressure monitor warning lamp flashes on and off for t = 60 s and then stays on permanently.

Warning message 6
Operation feedback after manual restart.

Warning message 7
Prompt to correct pressure in the event of slight pressure loss or implausible filling.
