The heater of component 'G3/2 (O2 sensor upstream of KAT)' has a malfunction.

Possible cause:

- G3/2 (Oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter)
Affected functions:

- Power generation

-------------------------------------------------

Test 1: Check component G3/2 (O2 sensor upstream of KAT).

Test 2: Test cables

1. Check component G3/2 (O2 sensor upstream of KAT).
Important note:Reset quantity mean value adaptation data after replacing the following components:(Control unit adaptations/Reset quantity mean value adaptation data.)

- G3/2 (O2 sensor upstream of KAT)
- B2/6 (Left hot film mass air flow sensor)
- B2/7 (Right hot film mass air flow sensor)
- B4/6 (Rail pressure sensor)
- Air filter
Communication with ECU required

2. Test cables
Check line from control module N3/9 (CDI control unit) to component G3/2 (O2 sensor upstream of KAT).
Possible cause and remedy

- Check electrical lines and connectors between control unit N3/9 (CDI control unit) and component G3/2 (O2 sensor upstream of KAT) for loose contact and corrosion.
- Check electrical lines and connectors between control unit N3/9 (CDI control unit) and component G3/2 (O2 sensor upstream of KAT) for short and open circuit.
Question

- Are the electrical lines or connectors OK?

YES
The electrical lines or connectors are OK.Possible cause and remedy

- Replace component G3/2 (O2 sensor upstream of KAT).
- After replacing component G3/2 (O2 sensor upstream of KAT), the teach-in process for this component must be performed via menu 'Control unit adaptations'.
- Erase fault memory.
End of test

NO
The electrical lines or connectors are not OK.Possible cause and remedy

- Repair or, if necessary, replace damaged electrical lines and connectors between control unit N3/9 (CDI control unit) and component G3/2 (O2 sensor upstream of KAT).
End of test
