Ride Disturbance Concerns

For better assignment of ride disturbance topics (vibrations related to wheel/tire assembly) during the initial launch phase of the GL Class. We request that as of 11/1/2012 and until 1/31/2013, any warranty submissions include the following:

Wheel Balance (DC 40007) - The following is required:

1. A print-out from the approved balance machine

2. Indicate if wheel weights are missing and if so on the inner or outer side of the wheel, as well as indicating the wheel position on the printout.

3. Indicate on the print-out Dealer number, VIN and RO Number

4. Fax to the print-out (201) 822-6167

Excessive Road force (DC 21506) - The following is required:

1. Be sure to clearly label the tire with Dealer number, VIN and RO Number

2. Return the tire in question to:

3. A print-out from the approved balance machine faxed to (201) 822-6167, indicating balance, road force, as well as indicating wheel position on the printout values prior to repair.

Failure to produce this required information may result in debiting of the warranty claim.
