Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair
Removal1. Evacuate a/c system. SEE Heating and Air Conditioning. Procedures
2. Drain coolant and remove radiator.
1ST CONDENSER VERSION
3. Remove air-flow grille under bumper at front right.

4. Remove screw (20) and remove pipe line (18) from condenser.
5. Remove screw (11) and unscrew pipe line (19).
2ND CONDENSER VERSION
Receiver Drier Installed:
6. Disconnect hose lines (18 and 19) from condenser (8).
7. Close hose and pipe connections with plugs.
8. Remove screws (9) and remove condenser.
Installation
NOTE: If the condenser is damaged, the rule is that dirt and moisture have entered the a/c system. Blow out a/c system with nitrogen and replace receiver drier.
1. Place condenser from inside on side member and screw to side member and radiator supporting frame with screws (9).
2. Connect pipe line (18 and 19) to condenser (8) while checking O-rings and coat rings with cold-flowing oil.
3. (1st version) Screw pipe line (18) to side member with screw (20).
4. Install radiator and fill in coolant.
5. Evacuate a/c system and fill.
6. Check for leaks and function. SEE Testing and Inspection. Testing and Inspection
7. (1st version) Install air flow grille under bumper at front right.
