Heater Core: Service and Repair

NOTE: The following procedure was compiled from field experience.


Removal
1. Remove heater box with evaporator housing. Service and Repair
2. Remove vacuum hoses from center nozzle flap vacuum element and front of heater box.
3. Remove switchover valves from heater box and set along side.
4. Remove two front clamps on cover.
5. Remove two rear clamps on cover.
6. Remove two screw clamps next to heat exchanger pipes.
7. Remove cover from heater box.
8. Lift out heat exchanger.
9. Remove seals from water pipes.


Installation
Install in reverse order.
