Receiver Dryer: Service and Repair

Removal
1. Evacuate a/c system. SEE Heating and Air Conditioning. Procedures

Receiver Drier With Temperature And Pressure Switch:

2. Pull electric plug from temperature switch (14) and from pressure switch (13) and remove both screws.
3. Remove hose lines (16 and 18) from receiver drier (17). Plug all openings.
4. Remove two screws (12) and remove receiver drier (17).

Installation
1. Attach new receiver drier with screws (12).

Pressure Switch With Cone Seal:

1st Version

Pressure Switch With O-Ring Seal:

2nd Version

2. Mount temperature switch (14) and pressure switch (13) on receiver drier (17). On pressure switch 1st version (cone seal), moisten threads and cone with cold-flowing oil. Pressure switch (2nd version) with 0-ring (13) check and renew, if required.
3. Mount electric plug on temperature switch (14) and pressure switch (13).
4. Evacuate a/c system and refill. SEE Heating and Air Conditioning. Procedures
