Models 126 and 201
1. Disconnect and cover the negative battery terminal.2. Remove rear seat cushion and backrest.
3. Remove hatshelf.
4. Remove left side trunk panel.
5. Remove steel partition between trunk and fuel tank (Model 126 only).
6. Fabricate a wiring harness according to the diagram, observe that the respective wires are attached to connector positions 1 and 2 with connector identification (arrow) facing up.
7. Mark locations, drill and rework holes as specified, for fastening screws and wiring harness, on the hatshelf.
NOTE:
Drill carefully into hatshelf. Take care that drill bit does not bind in material.
8. Install and secure wiring harness.
9. Connect grand wire to ground (left rear wheelhousing, in trunk).
10. Remove and open left tail lamp connector
11. Solder wire (black/red) from wiring harness to socket 5.
12. Close connector and attach to tail lamp.
13. Fasten base plate for stop lamp to hatshelf with internal tooth retaining rings.
14. Reinstall hatshelf.
15. Reinstall rear seat cushion and backrest.
16. Attach stop lamp to base plate, ensuring that there is a tight seal of the stop lamp gasket to the rear window.
17. Attach wiring harness to stop lamp.
